In 1910, during the construction of the Cairns-Kuranda railway, a landslide downed Tunnel 10 and the supply of ale. With brains, brawn, and beer as motivation, workers perilously rolled barrels of brew around a mountain to ensure cheer was served – cheers to that.

This Aussie style mid strength lager is light on alcohol but full of flavour. Light and refreshing it’s the refreshing beer you’d want to drink after a day in the cane fields.
Post WW2 an influx of immigrants found work on sugarcane farms. In the sweltering sun the cane cutters worked the fields of sugar cane under brutal conditions. Wielding their cane knife they set a rhythm without complaint. The more they cut, the more dollars they earned. Stopping only for a quick slug of water they pressed on, strengthening an industry which Far North Queensland was built on. Here’s cheers to the unnamed canecutters of our region.
